Athlete Tsevendas will run the route Ulaanbaatar–Beijing–Tianjin

On February 5, honored master of mountaineering and athlete Tsevendas Bazarhand began a 1600-kilometer run along the route Ulaanbaatar–Beijing–Tianjin. This was reported by IKON.

Before starting his run, Tsevendas stated that issues such as depression among youth and addiction to gadgets are becoming increasingly relevant. He emphasized that instead of just talking about a healthy lifestyle, he wants to demonstrate it through his own example. “Nowadays, people often avoid even short walks. There’s no need to be afraid of running in winter. The endurance of those who are passionate about sports is remarkable. Physical activity brings numerous benefits, and today’s youth are experiencing a lack of movement, while excessive use of technology negatively affects mental health. This is not only our problem but a global catastrophe. People are too afraid of the cold, and we must show that it is possible to run even in winter conditions,” he noted.

Tsevendas added: “I have started a new stage, and I have an important task ahead of me. In the context of increasing negative sentiments in society, I hope to bring something positive through winter running. I have prepared thoroughly and made a detailed plan, especially since part of my route will go through China. Initially, I planned to sleep in a tent, but now I will have support. Two people will assist me, and safety during the run will be fully ensured.”

The run started in Ulaanbaatar and will pass through Zamiin-Uud in Mongolia, Ereenhot, Hohhot, Zhangjiakou, and the Great Wall of China. Tsevendas plans to cover a marathon distance of 42 kilometers daily and complete his 1600-kilometer journey in 40-45 days.
