From February 9 to 13, diverse weather is expected in Mongolia. On February 9, light snow is predicted in the Khuvsgul Mountains and the foothills of the Altai, while on February 12, snowfall may occur in some areas of the western aimags. At other times, no snow is anticipated. The wind during the day will blow at a speed of 3-8 meters per second, but on the 12th in the Altai Mountains, its speed may increase to 14-16 meters per second.
Against the backdrop of cooling, temperatures in most regions will begin to rise. At night near Lake Uvs, in the Darhad Basin, Zavkhan, at the source of the Zag-Baidrag River, and in the valleys of the Ider, Tes, and Yeruu rivers, temperatures may drop to -31 to -36°C, while during the day it is expected to be -19 to -24°C. In the mountainous regions of Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentii, as well as in the valleys of the Orkhon, Selenge, Kharaa, Tuul, Terelj, and Kherlen rivers, nighttime temperatures will fluctuate from -25 to -30°C, and during the day from -13 to -18°C.
In the foothills of the Khangai Mountains and in the southern part of the Gobi region, daytime temperatures will range from -7 to -12°C, while during the day it will rise to +4 to -1°C. In the northern part of the Gobi region, daytime temperatures will vary from -12 to -17°C, and during the day from -1 to -6°C. In other areas, nighttime temperatures are expected to be from -17 to -22°C, while daytime temperatures will range from -4 to -9°C.
