Snowfalls and blizzards are expected in southwestern Mongolia

According to the forecast, the wind in the southwestern regions will blow from the southwest to the northwest, while in other parts of the country, a northwestern wind with the same direction is expected, with a speed of 5-10 meters per second. In the Altai Mountains, Gobi, and steppe areas, strong gusts of wind with speeds of 13-15 meters per second are possible.

The temperature near Lake Uvs, in the Darhad Basin, and in the valleys of the Tes, Orkhon, Kharaa, and Yeruu rivers will fluctuate between -25 and -30°C. In the basins of the Zag-Baidrag, Ider, Eg, Uur, Selenge, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, Ulz rivers, as well as in the Khalt river valley and the Dornod steppe, temperatures are expected to range from -19 to -24°C. In the Altai Mountains, the foothills of the Khangai Mountains, and the southeastern part of the Gobi, temperatures will vary from -8 to -13°C, while in other areas, they will be between -14 and -19°C.

In Ulaanbaatar, the weather will be characterized by variable cloudiness with no precipitation. The northwestern wind will blow at a speed of 3-8 meters per second, and the air temperature will be -19 to -21°C, which is 4 degrees lower than the level observed the day before.
