The weather forecast for February 2, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM predicts variable cloudiness; however, snow is not expected in most regions. In the western part of the country, the wind will blow at a speed of 4-9 meters per second, while in the eastern aimags, its speed may increase to 12-14 meters per second, which could worsen the overall situation.
Temperature readings around Lake Uvs, the Darkhad basin, and in the valleys of the Tes, Orkhon, Kharaa, and Yeruu rivers will fluctuate between -20 to -25°C. In the basins of the Zag-Baidrag, Ider, Eg, Uur, Selenge, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, and Ulz rivers, as well as in the valley of the Khalkh River and the Darygansk steppe, temperatures are expected to range from -12 to -17°C. In the Altai Mountains, the foothills of the Khangai Mountains, and the southeastern part of the Gobi, temperatures will be from -1 to -6°C, while in other regions, it will be from -5 to -10°C.
In Ulaanbaatar, predominantly clear weather with a light breeze is expected. The air temperature will be between -5 to -7°C.
