Ali Larijani stated: “We will not negotiate with the United States,” which he expressed in a post on the platform X.
This statement was a response to information published by The Wall Street Journal, which reported that Larijani may have suggested conducting negotiations with Washington through intermediaries.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump also commented on the possibility of resuming negotiations with Iran, but did not specify who exactly from the Iranian authorities is participating in the discussions and what issues will be addressed.
Ali Larijani holds one of the key positions in the Iranian leadership. He has become one of the few who remained in their posts after the first two days of the war, when Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed, and the country was governed by a temporary council.
