According to Trump, the operation is planned to last about four weeks. "We expected it to take about that long. It has always been a four-week process. Despite Iran's power, we believe it will take four weeks or less," noted the U.S. president.
Trump also reported that the operation is proceeding according to plan, adding that about 48 representatives of the Iranian authorities have already been eliminated. He did not rule out the possibility of future negotiations with Tehran, but emphasized that they should have been initiated earlier. Additionally, the president confirmed the information regarding the deaths of three American servicemen.
The military operation against Iran was initiated by the U.S. and Israel on February 28. The main objectives of this operation are regime change in Iran, the cessation of the nuclear program, as well as the destruction of the country's missile capabilities and navy. In response, Iran launched strikes against Israel and the Persian Gulf countries where American military bases are located. As a result of the joint actions of Israel and the U.S., the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed.
