Vladimir Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, expressed the opinion that without a meeting between the leaders of Ukraine, the USA, and Russia, it is impossible to reach the necessary agreements on issues of territorial belonging. This was reported by "European Truth".

As the president noted in an interview for Český rozhlas, Kyiv is open to negotiations with both countries in any format.

Zelensky also added that Ukraine would like to involve Europe at one stage of the negotiation process, as the country's security guarantees are linked to membership in the European Union and the creation of a coalition of willing parties. Nevertheless, the format of a trilateral meeting remains a priority.

He emphasized: "At a minimum, we should have the opportunity to interact with the head of the Russian state in one format or another," noting that without this format, it will be difficult to negotiate territorial issues.

Discussing the current situation in peace negotiations, Zelensky expressed uncertainty: it is unclear whether the process is at the final stage or if there is still much work ahead with other states. He pointed out that the final stage is the most challenging, and it is currently difficult to assess how close the parties are to an agreement.

The president also highlighted that Ukraine expects security guarantees from the USA, where, according to him, a relevant document has already been developed, as well as from Europe. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of a package of measures for the country's recovery within the framework of future agreements.

Zelensky noted: "Potential investors must understand that Ukraine will provide security guarantees and that the war will not resume. This is critically important for their willingness to invest."

Earlier, there was information that Russia agreed to a temporary cessation of strikes on Ukraine until February 1 at the request of US President Donald Trump, who also reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin consented to halt attacks on Ukrainian territories for a period of one week.
