In response to accusations from Washington, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that there are "no problems" regarding the health of Mojtaba Khamenei. This information was also confirmed in an interview with the Iranian minister, as reported by Reuters.

Araghchi had previously asserted that the new Supreme Leader is in good health and is controlling the situation in the country. This statement was a response to information from American officials that Khamenei had allegedly been injured.

On March 14, Donald Trump expressed doubts in an interview with NBC about whether Khamenei is alive. Prior to this, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reported that the new Supreme Leader may have been injured and even disfigured.

Mojtaba Khamenei was appointed as the Supreme Leader of Iran in early March, following the tragic death of his father, Ali Khamenei, which occurred as a result of the initial attacks by the U.S. and Israel on Tehran.
