The statue of Genghis Khan, made from 107 kg of pure gold, was created using materials from the treasury of the Bank of Mongolia.
Created by sculptor Bold Luvsan, the golden statue reaches a height of 7.5 meters. The completion of the work took place in Italy, and the statue was installed in the Hall of Honor of the Genghis Khan Museum in 2024, as confirmed by information from MiddleAsianNews.
This gilded statue of Genghis Khan was made using 107 kg of gold taken from Mongolia's treasury fund. In addition, the bronze statue of the Great Khan was covered with 7 kg of gold, and the golden seal of Khasbuu was created from 100 kg of gold, including metal mined in Mongolia.
The statue of Genghis Khan is placed on a marble pedestal adorned with the seal of the Great Emperor and a throne, as well as golden elements. It is made of gold, bronze, and marble, and its casting took place at the bronze foundry "Art’u di Gaetano Salmista" in Florence, Italy.

The dimensions of the statue are 700 cm in height, 630 cm in width, and 750 cm in depth, depicting Genghis Khan in 1189, at the moment of the founding of the Mongol Empire.
The design of the statue is based on traditional symmetrical aesthetics, portraying the Great Khan with pronounced confidence and a vision for the future, covered in gold mined in Mongolia.
The statue is installed on a marble pedestal, which is adorned with the Golden Seal of the Mongol Empire, a royal throne, and exquisite golden details symbolizing the sovereignty of Mongolia. The throne includes an image of Burkhan Khaldun Mountain, and the three-tiered platform made of white marble embodies the past, present, and future, complemented by tiger skin patterns symbolizing victory, and a felt carpet that represents the resilience of the state.
According to available data, the State Treasury of Mongolia planned to allocate ₮8 billion (about $2,242,904) for the creation of the golden statue of the Great Khan; however, due to the need to transport the 7.5-meter statue by a special plane, costs increased, and the final amount reached ₮8.9 billion (about $2,495,230).
