The collapse occurred under a red level of danger, when expected wind gusts reached 90 km/h. Fortunately, at the time of the incident, the parking lot was almost empty, which helped avoid injuries among people.
The Havan company promptly responded to the situation by isolating the area around the incident site and taking necessary safety measures.
According to the company, the total height of the Statue of Liberty is 35 meters, but only part of it collapsed — the height of the statue itself was 24 meters.
Havan representatives noted that all their statues comply with standard technical documentation, and this particular structure was installed in 2020.
Work crews will begin dismantling the collapsed sculpture in the coming hours. Specialists will also conduct a technical examination to determine the causes of the incident and outline subsequent steps.
The company emphasizes that the safety of customers, employees, and local residents remains their priority.
