“Today, October 31, a traffic jam formed at the checkpoint near Kant with trucks leaving Kyrgyzstan for Kazakhstan. All drivers were following the queue, but then some began to pass without waiting with the support of the inspector who was with them,” the drivers shared.
They also reported that the traffic police inspector refused to acknowledge his involvement, claiming he did not know the truck driver. “But we all saw that this is not the first time this has happened. First, there were the pushers, and now there are inspectors. We stand in line for days, while the tax base is not working. We demand that something be done about this,” they stated.
In response to this statement, the traffic police of the Chui region said that the inspector was simply heading to his workplace, and at that moment a truck was passing by.
“He did not escort anyone. When drivers requested him to stop, he did and issued a protocol to the driver who entered the oncoming lane,” the department added.
