The operation covered retail outlets in markets, shopping centers, and specialized stores where scooters and bicycles are sold. Sellers were reminded of the possible criminal liability for selling and purchasing stolen property in accordance with Article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Bishkek City Police Department urged citizens to be vigilant when purchasing scooters, bicycles, mobile phones, and jewelry, as well as not to leave valuable items unattended in cars and residential premises. The department recommends installing alarm systems, video surveillance, and "smart" intercoms to enhance security.
