On February 28, an accident involving a citizen of Kyrgyzstan occurred in Russia, in the Republic of Karelia, as reported by the press service of the regional traffic police on March 2.

The driver, a 28-year-old Kyrgyzstani, was operating a Honda Odyssey and was traveling on the federal highway A-119, which runs from Vologda to Medvezhyegorsk. At approximately 10:05, at the 419th kilometer of the highway, he lost control of the vehicle, failing to take into account the road and weather conditions, and crossed into the oncoming lane.

As a result, his vehicle collided with a Sitrak truck, driven by a 60-year-old driver.

As a result of the accident, a 28-year-old female passenger of the Odyssey, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, was injured. According to the traffic police, at the time of the collision, she was not wearing a seatbelt.
