A tragedy occurred in the state of Indiana, resulting in the deaths of four people. Unfortunately, the driver of the truck was a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, B.B., born in 1995. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
The accident happened on February 3, 2026, on State Road 67, where a cargo vehicle collided with a passenger van. As a result of the incident, one person sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Currently, law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation, and B.B. is under arrest.
The diplomatic missions of Kyrgyzstan in the USA, including the embassy and the consulate general in Chicago, are monitoring the situation and coordinating with local authorities as well as the employer of the detained citizen.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condolences to the relatives and friends of the accident victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
