Tragedy in the Moscow Region: CSKA trainee Adams fell from the window of a high-rise building

The footballer died before the medics arrived

Lionel Adams, a trainee of CSKA and former defender of the youth national team of Russia, tragically passed away after falling from the window of a high-rise building in the Moscow Region. The attack on the footballer occurred in December when he sustained a gunshot wound and was hospitalized, as reported by "Sport-Express".

Information about the tragic incident came on the evening of January 14. According to the Telegram channel "Mash na sporte", Adams fell from the window of the apartment of Timur Magomedov, a former player of Yalta's "Rubin", where he was visiting. Lionel's mother believes that it was not an accident and suggests that her son became a victim of criminal actions.

The press service of CSKA expressed its condolences to Lionel's family and loved ones:

“Today we lost our trainee Lionel Adams. He was only 31 years old. We express our sincere condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Lionel!” — the statement reads.

In December, Adams and Magomedov were involved in a scandalous incident in Zvenigorod, which ended for the footballer with a gunshot wound to the thigh.

According to the Telegram channel Mash, “the footballers drank at home, then went outside where a conflict and fight occurred with strangers. A driver passing by tried to intervene but got into trouble himself. He pulled out a traumatic pistol and started shooting to get out of the situation. Later, the athletes went into a bar where another fight occurred.”

Despite the injury, Lionel refused to go to the police at that time and did not document the injuries.

Lionel Adams was born to a Nigerian father and a Russian mother. He played for several Russian clubs, including "Yenisey", "Volga" from Tver, and "KAMAZ", as well as teams from Kazakhstan ("Kaspiy", "Turana", "Zhetysu", "Shakhtar Karaganda"), Belarus ("Isloch"), Armenia ("Banants", "Van"), Spain ("Cerseda"), Montenegro ("Buducnost"), Tajikistan ("Khujand"), and Kyrgyzstan ("Alga").

Adams was also called up to the youth national team of Russia, with which he played four matches. In 2016, he won the Armenian Cup with the team "Banants".
