According to information provided by the press service of the State Penitentiary Service, the incident occurred on January 5 at around 15:25 at a security post. Preliminary data indicates that a serviceman received a fatal gunshot wound from his service weapon and died at the scene.
Colonel Kurmanbek Sokeiev, Deputy Chairman of the State Penitentiary Service and Head of the Department of Security and Convoying, along with other responsible officials, arrived at the scene to clarify all circumstances.
The investigation of this incident is being conducted by officers of the Bazar-Korgon District Department of Internal Affairs in conjunction with the military prosecutor's office of the Jalal-Abad garrison. Currently, the collection of necessary materials for further proceedings is ongoing.
