According to the press service of the State Penal Service, the incident took place on January 5 at around 15:25 at the security post. Preliminary data indicates that the serviceman, without determining the reason, shot himself with his service weapon and died from his injuries at the scene.
The Deputy Chairman of the State Penal Service and the Head of the Department of Protection and Escort, Colonel Kurmanbek Sokeev, as well as employees of relevant services, arrived at the scene to conduct operational investigative actions.
Employees of the Bazar-Korgon District Internal Affairs Department and the military prosecutor's office of the Jalal-Abad garrison are also participating in the investigation. Currently, the military prosecutor's office is conducting necessary investigative activities and gathering materials.
