In the southwestern part of the rural district of Toluk in the Toktogul region, a critical situation has developed in the winter pastures due to heavy snowfall.

People who remained in the winter pastures have appealed for help to local authorities and the civil protection service.

According to the press service of the Jalal-Abad regional emergency management department, on December 21, 2025, information was received that 26 people and 7,760 heads of livestock were stranded in 13 households on the pastures, without food and fodder. Among them are 7,250 heads of small ruminants, 330 heads of large cattle, and 180 horses.

On December 22, employees of the district civil protection service went to the scene to monitor the situation. According to preliminary data, the pastures can be reached on foot by overcoming about 50 kilometers. The situation is currently under control.

An emergency meeting of the headquarters was held under the leadership of Captain A. Charginov, head of the emergency situations department of the Toktogul district, together with representatives of the civil protection services in the Toluk rural administration, where operational measures were taken.

According to the Toktogul district state administration, local authorities are exploring possible ways to provide assistance to citizens on the pastures. Communication with them is being maintained by phone.
