Emil Kio, People's Artist of Russia and outstanding illusionist, a continuation of the famous circus dynasty, passed away at the age of 88, reports Forbes.RU.
The information about his death was published on his Telegram channel by Edgard Zapashny, the general director of the Bolshoi Moscow Circus.
“People's Artist of Russia Emil Kio has passed away at the age of 88. My condolences to his family, friends, and all fans of this magnificent illusionist. May the earth rest lightly upon him!” — wrote Zapashny.
Emil Kio was the son of the famous Soviet circus performer and magician Emil Renard-Kio. In his childhood, he performed as his father's assistant and later became a participant in the All-Union Creative Association of State Circuses "Soyuzgoskirk". Throughout his career, he earned a reputation as one of the most famous illusionists in the country, performing thousands of shows in various countries around the world. His shows attracted the attention of more than 60 million viewers.
