In honor of the athletes' successes in non-Olympic disciplines, the Directorate, under the State Agency for Sports, organized a ceremonial event to summarize the results of the work for 2025.
The ceremony was attended by Emil Zayarko, the director of the Directorate, as well as representatives of sports federations and outstanding athletes who achieved high results in non-Olympic sports last year.
The event served as a platform to discuss key achievements: the growing popularity of non-Olympic disciplines, the active participation of Kyrgyz athletes in international competitions, and the successful organization of national championships and tournaments were highlighted.
Sports federations that actively collaborated with the Directorate and made significant contributions to the development of non-Olympic sports were awarded letters of gratitude and commemorative statuettes. Special attention was given to the federations of sambo, karate, kulatuu, and other disciplines where Kyrgyz athletes achieved success on the international stage.
Emil Zayarko emphasized the importance of a systematic approach in working with federations and athletes, noting that the development of non-Olympic sports is a crucial factor for strengthening sports infrastructure and preparing new generations of athletes for international competitions.
