Graduated from KGU (1960), postgraduate studies at MSU (Moscow, 1962).
Worked as a junior researcher, senior researcher at the Institute of Philosophy and Law, lecturer at KGMI, senior researcher, deputy director of the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Kyrgyz SSR Academy of Sciences, head of the laboratory, deputy director, director of the BPI of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, dean of the MUK, since 2000 - scientific advisor of the Central Asian Transboundary Project for Biodiversity Conservation.
Specialist in zoology, philosophy, zoogeography, ecology.
Awarded medals of the USSR.
Academician of the New York Academy of Sciences (USA).
Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Published more than 250 scientific works, including 10 monographs, 17 maps.
Under his supervision, 1 doctoral and 3 candidate dissertations have been defended.
