On the Almaty - Bishkek highway, seven Kazakhstani deaflympians died in a traffic accident

Seven Kazakhstani deaflympians died in a traffic accident on the Almaty - Bishkek highway
As a result of a traffic accident on the 129th kilometer of the Almaty — Bishkek highway, seven deaflympians from Kazakhstan died, local media report.

The Honda Odyssey car, in which the athletes and their coach were traveling, collided with a trailer of a HOWO truck. All passengers of the car died at the scene, including football coach Asyl Ibraimov, deaflympic chess champion Dmitry Mochalsky, as well as football players from the Kazakhstan national team Saken Smagulov, Sergey Volkovinsky, and Serik Moldashev.

The athletes were returning home after competitions in Bishkek. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident.
