In the village of Tyup, located in the Issyk-Kul region, you can see a Soviet-made tractor of the brand "SHTZ 15/30". This agricultural machine, which has a rich history, has become a symbol of the labor heritage of the region.

The tractor is mounted on a pedestal in the territory of one of the local farms, situated in the eastern part of Tyup.
The "SHTZ 15/30" tractors were produced at the Stalingrad and Kharkov tractor plants, which were the first specialized enterprises in the USSR. Prior to this time, the automotive industry only saw small-scale production of vehicles.

The wheeled tractor "STZ 15/30" became the most widespread agricultural tractor in the Soviet Union in the first half of the 20th century. Its first unit was released on June 17, 1930.

By April 1932, the Stalingrad tractor plant reached its design production capacity, and 144 tractors "STZ 15/30", also known as STZ-1, rolled off the assembly line daily. In addition to Stalingrad, tractors were also produced in Kharkov and at several auto repair plants until 1950, with a total of 390,500 units manufactured.

The design of this tractor was based on the American model McCormick International 15/30, which was produced by the International Harvester Company from 1921 to 1934. The Soviet tractor became almost an exact copy of the original, even retaining the American index.
