In Tash-Kumyr, for the first time in the last 40 years, villagers have been provided with round-the-clock access to drinking water. Clean water has been supplied to the small settlement of the municipal territorial administration of Kyzyl-Alma, located along the Bishkek–Osh highway. More than 40 households live here.

For decades, residents were forced to obtain water through makeshift methods — using irrigation water in the summer and carrying it from a source on the outskirts of the village in the winter.

According to local resident Zhanibek Toktorbaev, the arrival of stable drinking water has become an event that villagers could hardly have imagined. “I have lived here for over 60 years. People were once relocated to this area during the construction of the Shamalty-Sai Hydroelectric Power Station, and they promised to bring water, but they never did. We used to haul water from the Naryn River, and in winter, half of it spilled due to strong winds. Later, people built water tanks [homemade reservoirs], buying 4 tons of water for 1500 soms — and that lasted only two weeks. For many years, we tried to raise money and bring water through the community, but unsuccessfully. Some families even sold their homes and left. So, the fact that water has now come to every home is truly a miracle for us,” he said.

Village resident Nazgul Toktoralieva says that due to the desperate need for drinking water, villagers were forced to stretch plastic pipes from a distant source themselves. “We pulled water for 3-4 kilometers on our own, and this water was used by both people and livestock. But in the summer, it was almost impossible to drink — the water was brackish and did not meet sanitary standards. Now all of that is behind us,” she said.

As reported by the head of the municipal enterprise "Self-Financing Enterprise 'Suu-Charba'" for water supply in the city of Tash-Kumyr, Azamat Jumashov, the round-the-clock water supply became possible thanks to a project implemented from 2018 to 2024. Within the framework of the project, a pumping station and a water reservoir were built. “More than 2,000 people live in Kyzyl-Alma. Previously, water was supplied for only 5 hours a day. In 2018, a project costing 34 million 776 thousand soms was prepared, financed by the Department of Capital Construction of the Jalal-Abad region. Following the tender, the work was carried out by the company OsOO 'Kuch.' Today, water meters and new water supply lines have been installed in the village, and water is supplied 24 hours a day. In the coming days, a similar system will be introduced in another village with 60 households. Then work will continue in the villages of Shyn-Sai and Kash-Terek,” he reported.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the contracting organization "Kuch" was re-registered on May 27, 2013. The leader is Tugalbay Kokonovich Arstanbekov. The main activity is the construction of residential houses and structures.
