Yesterday, around 6 AM, the authorized representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Chui region, Azamat Osmonov, conducted an unexpected inspection at the livestock market in Tokmok, according to information provided by the Turmush press service.

During the inspection, Osmonov personally familiarized himself with the trading conditions as well as the state of sanitary and veterinary control. Serious violations were recorded during the visit.

One of the first aspects that caught the representative's attention was the terrible condition of the access roads: they were washed out, and deep mud had formed on the surface, making it difficult for both vehicles and pedestrians to move.

The situation inside the market itself was even more alarming. The aisles were so narrow that people and animals moved in close proximity to each other, posing a threat to the health and lives of citizens. In such conditions, horses and cattle could injure people.

Additionally, the president's representative checked the process of registering animals at the market. He noted the logbook, which should contain data on each animal: its quantity, species, owner's name, and ear tag number. Despite the fact that such registration is mandatory, violations were found that require immediate correction.

The veterinary control also did not meet the requirements. The authorized representative checked veterinary passports, certificates of form No. 1, and documents on animal vaccinations. Osmonov emphasized the importance of these measures to prevent the spread of dangerous diseases among livestock. He also noted that disinfection barriers and external examinations of animals should be conducted regularly and thoroughly; however, these requirements were systematically ignored at the market.

As a result of the inspection, Osmonov described what he saw as a "disgrace for the region" and mandated the responsible services to restore order as soon as possible: improve sanitary conditions, widen the aisles, fully organize veterinary control, and repair the roads to ensure the safety of trade and the movement of people. The representative added that he would personally monitor the implementation of the directives.
