Changes have been made to the moratorium on renaming
In Bishkek, the city administration has developed a new package of amendments to the existing moratorium on the renaming of streets. This project is now available for public discussion.
The municipality noted that after the administrative-territorial reform and clarification of boundaries, discrepancies arose in the lists of streets that were previously excluded from the moratorium. This concerns such avenues as Chui, Jibek Jolu, and Masaliev, as well as several streets, including M. Frunze, L. Tolstoy, Gorky, Tokombaev, and others.
The city authorities assured that the adoption of these changes would not lead to social, economic, or legal risks, would not require additional budget expenditures, and would not be related to the regulation of entrepreneurial activities.
