Cultural events were held in the colonies in honor of the 97th anniversary of the classic of world literature, Chyngyz Aitmatov

Cultural and educational events were held in correctional institutions dedicated to the significant date — the 97th anniversary of the birth of Chyngyz Aitmatov, the outstanding Kyrgyz writer and cultural figure.

According to information from the State Service for Execution of Sentences (GSIN), within the framework of these events, open lessons, lectures, and literary meetings were held in the units. Inmates prepared creative performances in which they spoke about the biography and creative legacy of the writer, as well as his world-famous works. In some institutions, theatrical mini-scenes were presented, illustrating the process of creating his works.

Great attention was paid to such well-known works as "Jamilya," "The First Teacher," "And the Day Lasts Longer than a Century," "The Path of a Mother," "The White Steamboat," and "Farewell, Gulsary!" These works contributed to the recognition of the Kyrgyz people and their culture on the international stage.

Additionally, educational activities were held in pre-trial detention centers for inmates involved in economic services. In institution No. 14, where minors are held, the film "The White Steamboat" was shown, followed by a thematic lecture.

All events were organized by the GSIN's educational work service and aimed at the spiritual development of inmates, the formation of moral values, increasing interest in literature, as well as preserving and passing on the rich legacy of Chyngyz Aitmatov to the next generation.
