According to the publication "Russian Gazette," the medal was created in 2025 based on an original design and made of pure silver of the highest standard, 999. A total of 21 medals were produced - they have already been transferred to the Aitmatov Foundation.
Additionally, in honor of the 100th anniversary of Chinghiz Aitmatov's birth, the idea of issuing another 100 commemorative medals is being considered, which are intended to be awarded to outstanding representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
