The first batch, consisting of 21 copies, has already been handed over to the Chinghiz Aitmatov Foundation. These medals are intended for presentation to outstanding figures in culture, art, and public life. In anticipation of the 100th anniversary of the writer's birth, another 100 medals are planned to be issued for prominent individuals from both Russia and Kyrgyzstan.

The initial copies of the medals were presented to representatives of the Central Asian office of "Rossiskaya Gazeta", Albert Zulkharnayev, who heads the Russian House in Bishkek, and Sergey Volkov, the rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.

Additionally, a solemn opening of the branch of the Chinghiz Aitmatov Foundation in Russia took place in Moscow. As part of this event, medals were awarded to directors Andrei Konchalovsky and Nikita Mikhalkov, film critic Andrei Zolotov, actress Natalia Arinbasarova, as well as the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Russia, Kubanychbek Bokontayev, for the collection of the diplomatic mission's museum.

As the publication notes, this project has become not only an expression of respect for Chinghiz Aitmatov's legacy but also a symbol of strengthening cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
