In Almaty, on December 20, a professional boxing evening took place, where Kyrgyzstani boxer Omurbek Bekzhigit Uulu had his first fight at the professional level. His opponent was Kazakh Asago Burgalov.
The bout in the super middleweight category was scheduled for six rounds but ended in the first. At the end of the opening round, Bekzhigit Uulu pressed his opponent against the ropes and unleashed a series of punches, prompting the referee to start the count. Burgalov decided not to continue the fight, and the victory was declared in favor of the Kyrgyzstani by technical knockout.
This victory marked the first for Omurbek Bekzhigit Uulu in his professional career, making his debut in the pro ring a success. For Asago Burgalov, this defeat was already his second in a row.
