On December 15, a ceremony was held in Ala-Too Square in Bishkek to light the main New Year tree of the country.
This bright structure, which reaches a height of 35 meters including the star, is decorated with about 7,000 ornaments and new lighting effects.

As previously reported, the decoration of the square was financed by partners, while 5 million soms were allocated from the city budget for the ceremony and New Year program.
Manas
In the Jalal-Abad region, the main tree of the city of Manas has been installed in Azattyk Square. 800,000 soms were allocated from the budget for its festive decoration.
The municipality informed that these funds were used for the installation and decoration of the tree, as well as for decorating the central streets.


Karakoil
The New Year tree in Karakol is 22 meters tall.
234,000 soms were spent on its decoration.


Naryn
A solemn ceremony to light the New Year tree, which is 12 meters tall and 4 meters wide, also took place in Naryn on December 15.
This year, 47,000 soms were spent on its decoration. The city hall noted that this tree has been decorated for the seventh consecutive year, changing the design each time.


Osh
This year, the height of the main New Year tree in Osh is about 30 meters.


Talas
The New Year tree in Talas reaches a height of 24 meters.
640,000 soms were allocated from the local budget for its decoration and city decoration.
The tree was purchased last year with the budget of the city of Talas.


Batken
The height of the New Year tree in Batken is 20 meters.
It was purchased three years ago with local budget funds.
This year, 360,500 soms were spent on decorating the tree and festive decoration.


Tokmok
In Tokmok, located in the Chui region, the height of the New Year tree is 32 meters.
The city hall's press service reported that this year no additional expenses were required, as decorations and ornaments from last year were used.


Thus, the New Year trees in all corners of Kyrgyzstan have become symbols of the holiday, with many cities focusing on the efficient use of budget funds and the reuse of decorations.
