Turmush correspondent presented a photo report on the New Year trees that have already adorned various regions of the country.
In Bishkek, on December 15, the main New Year tree of the country was illuminated in Ala-Too Square, reaching a height of 35 meters and decorated with about 7,000 ornaments.
In Osh, on December 14, a lighting ceremony for the main New Year tree, approximately 29–30 meters tall, took place in the central square. The square is decorated with light installations and ornaments, creating a true New Year atmosphere.
In Kara-Balta, a 16-meter artificial tree has been installed, which will be the central element of the New Year celebrations. It is decorated with more than 1,500 New Year ornaments and garlands. The ceremonial lighting of the tree is scheduled for December 23 at 17:00.
In Talas, a New Year tree is being installed, for which 670,000 soms have been allocated from the local budget for decoration. This artificial tree, purchased last year, is 24 meters tall, including the star on top.
In Tokmok, in one of the micro-districts, a tree made of car tires has been installed, located on the territory of a tire manufacturing plant.

In the square named after T. Usubaliev in Naryn, a 12-meter New Year tree is being installed, which was purchased in 2019 for 1.5 million soms.
This year, the tree is being installed for the seventh time, and an additional 47,000 soms have been allocated for new decorative elements.
In Uzgen, a New Year tree has been installed that is 3 meters taller than last year. Its height is 16 meters, and 200,000 soms were spent on its installation. The lights of the tree are expected to be lit at the end of this week.
In Batken, the height of the main New Year tree in the region reaches 20 meters, and its lights will be lit on December 17 at 18:00 during a festive concert.
In Batken, 360,500 soms have been allocated for New Year events, which will be used for decorating the tree, organizing concerts, and holding various competitions.
In Razakovo, a 12-meter tree has also been installed, which will be lit on December 15 in the central square. Local authorities allocated 200,000 soms for organizing New Year events.
