He emphasized that many Kyrgyz national games are closely related to equestrian sports. In 2023, during the celebration of the 230th anniversary of the Kyrgyz khan Ormon Khan Niyazbek uulu, the absence of a racetrack forced national games to be held in Orto-Tokoi. This became a turning point when breeders from the Naryn region discussed the necessity of creating a large racetrack, which should be located in the Kochkor district.
Kalibai Saralaev noted: “In 2024, during the 3rd People's Kurultai, I raised this issue, conveying the appeals of the breeders from the Naryn region. With the support of local authorities, it was decided to allocate 26 hectares of land in the village of Kok-Zhar for the construction of the racetrack. At the 4th People's Kurultai, another delegate from the breeders was elected, who returned to this topic again.”

According to K. Saralaev, breeders hope that their appeal will be heard by the president, local authorities, and other responsible persons, and that the project will receive the necessary support. He added that having a racetrack is extremely important for holding republican holidays and anniversary events.
Breeders also pointed out that there are many racetracks in Turkmenistan and France, while in France there are over 5,000. In the United Kingdom, even the queen visits racetracks for leisure.
“If we have a racetrack, young people will spend their weekends not behind phone screens, but at the racetrack, actively engaging in national equestrian sports,” they added.
