On January 23, the press service of the Bishkek mayor's office responded to a request from KR Jogorku Kenesh deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva regarding the situation with Sheralieva Street and plans for the renovation of Krylov Street.
The mayor's office reported that the project for the extension of Sheralieva Street from Akhunbaeva Street to Gagarin Street, with subsequent connection to Termechikova Street, was outlined in several urban planning documents. These plans were included in the General Plan of 1970, the detailed planning project of 1982, as well as in the General Plan of the city of Bishkek for the period 2006–2025.

Additionally, the mayor's office noted that similar sections of the street and road network are also planned in other districts of the capital. During the development of the new General Plan, these planning solutions will be preserved as long-term goals for the development of the city's road infrastructure.

It is worth noting that detailed calculations of financial costs and the number of buildings that may be subject to demolition will be prepared at the stage of practical implementation of the project. This data will be included in the architectural and urban planning conclusion necessary to begin the design of the road. However, such calculations are not included in the General Plan.

The mayor's office also emphasized that currently there are no plans by local authorities to implement this project in the near future.

As for Krylov Street in the Lenin District, the mayor's office reported that repair work will resume this year, provided that weather conditions are favorable.
