As part of the modernization of the electricity accounting system in the Jalal-Abad region, the installation of more than 65 thousand smart meters is planned. This information was provided by representatives of the local electric grid enterprise.
According to the state digitalization program, by 2025, 82 thousand such meters have already been installed in the region. They were placed in the districts of Suzak, Bazar-Korgon, as well as in the cities of Mailuu-Suu and Kara-Kul.
The project for the installation of new meters will cover the Kok-Art valley in the Suzak district, as well as the Toktogul and Nooken districts.
As noted by the department, "smart meters" provide not only accurate accounting of electricity consumption but also protect electrical equipment from overloads and damage. These devices also allow for remote monitoring of electricity consumption, reduce the human factor in calculations, provide timely and accurate information about consumption, help identify illegal connections, and contribute to more rational and economical use of electricity.
