Teaching will be conducted in the regions
The Ministry of Education has announced the start of recruitment for those wishing to become teachers as part of the "Teach for Kyrgyzstan – Modern Teacher" program. Relevant information was published by the ministry.
The goal of this initiative is to support school education in remote regions and prepare a new generation of teacher-leaders.
The program is open to people from various professions, including those without teaching experience but eager to work in the education sector. Participants will work in schools in small towns and rural areas for two years, while simultaneously acquiring modern pedagogical skills and leadership qualities.
The program includes free master's degree training organized in collaboration with the International University of Central Asia. The training will take place in a hybrid format, combining online classes with in-person sessions. Upon successful completion of the course, graduates will receive a state diploma and an international master's diploma.
Participants are guaranteed official employment, a scholarship, mentorship from experienced teachers, and ongoing methodological support. There will also be opportunities to implement their own educational projects and participate in the international Teach For All network.
Invited to participate:
– citizens with higher education;
– candidates willing to dedicate two years to work in regional schools;
– motivated specialists interested in working with children and in their professional development.
The application period will last until May 25, 2026.
It should be noted that earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov stated in an interview with "Nomad TV" the need to replace 15–20% of teachers with new personnel from among those willing.
