At today's parliamentary meeting, Deputy Eru lan Kokulov expressed serious concern about the quality of construction of new schools. This statement was made in the context of discussing the draft law "On the Ratification of the Loan Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Saudi Development Fund for the project 'Construction of Public Schools' Phase-2," signed on October 9, 2025, in Bishkek.

Kokulov noted that many of the schools under construction have issues: cracks appear on the walls, roofs leak, and floors crack.

"When you try to raise questions about the problems at the meeting and get answers from representatives of the relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Construction, you encounter a suggestion not to ask questions. How can we fulfill our role as elected representatives? Should we just press buttons? Access to the Minister of Construction is limited, and they do not want to communicate with us. At meetings, some just smile. If I were in Nurdana Kemelovich's (Oruntaev's) place, I would not allow myself to laugh like that. The committee also does not provide an opportunity to ask questions. If the situation does not change, schools will continue to deteriorate," added Eru lan Kokulov.
