Ecologists discovered the illegal keeping of a red-listed golden eagle in Kara-Kuldja


In the Kara-Kuldja district, there was a case of illegal keeping of a red-listed golden eagle. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Nature. As a result, the offender was fined 20,000 soms, and the bird was returned to its natural habitat.

On January 27, the Osh regional department of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service received information that one of the local residents was keeping a golden eagle at home without the necessary permits. Inspectors, together with the NABU organization and the Bars-2 group, conducted an inspection and identified the owner.

Following the inspection, a protocol was drawn up under Article 262-1 of the Code of Offenses, and a fine was imposed on the offender. Specialists released the golden eagle back into the wild.
