In Bishkek, 369 people were fined for riding buses without a ticket

The Bishkek city hall reported that since the beginning of 2025, 369 fines have been imposed for fare evasion in public transport, totaling 369,000 soms.

According to information from the municipality, regular raids have been conducted since 2024 to identify passengers who have not paid for their bus rides. These checks are carried out by employees of the Bishkekshaartransport enterprise in cooperation with the Tulpar organization.

The fine for fare evasion is 1,000 soms.

The fare for municipal buses in the capital is 17 soms when using a transport card, and 20 soms when paying in cash. A special student card "Tulpar" is available for schoolchildren, allowing them to travel for just 8 soms. Senior passengers and individuals with disabilities can use the buses for free.
