The chief architect of Bishkek, Mederbek Kydyrmaev, in an interview on the "Kabara" channel, shared information about the requests from investors and construction companies that are eager to build 25-30 story buildings in the center of the capital.

He pointed out that one of the most pressing issues from the citizens regarding the new general plan is the process of renovation. Kydyrmaev explained that the general plan implies zones for multi-story construction, but this does not mean that property owners will lose their plots. On the contrary, the general plan merely indicates what types of buildings may appear in these zones in the future. The decision to build will be made by the owner themselves, who can either sell their land to developers or participate in shared construction.

As for the central part of Bishkek, there are restrictions on the height of new buildings.

"Despite the interest from many investors and construction companies in multi-story projects, according to the new general plan, it is permitted to build buildings no higher than 9-14 stories," he added.

Furthermore, the architect noted that all four districts of the city will be developed with an emphasis on creating separate centers, which will allow residents to reduce the need to travel to the central areas of the capital for work, study, or other matters.
