The Kabul University of Medical Sciences will soon launch the country's first faculty dedicated to "prophetic medicine." This faculty will specialize in treatment methods mentioned in Islamic sources. This became known thanks to a post by the famous blogger Ilya Varlamov on his Telegram channel.

The Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan made this decision as part of the Taliban's policy aimed at adapting educational programs to strict Islamic norms.

According to representatives of the ministry, the new faculty is being established to "meet the academic, educational, and research needs in the field of traditional medicine."

The term "prophetic medicine" includes collections of recommendations from the Prophet Muhammad, compiled by Islamic scholars. The main principles of this field are the use of Quranic readings for healing and minimizing surgical intervention.
