At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh held on February 4, Deputy Bakyt Tentishev drew attention to the problem of evicting residents from apartments in the military town. He reported that currently, residents have already been evicted from four apartments, and the Ministry of Defense plans to evict more than 20 others.

Tentishev reminded that last year he held a meeting between Minister Baktybek Bekbolotov and representatives of the Kant city administration, during which the minister expressed his willingness to address the issues that had arisen. However, since his transfer to another position, no actions have been taken by the Ministry of Defense.

Additionally, for several years, there has been no repair of the emergency boiler in the military town. The deputy recalled that two years ago, Minister of Finance Almaz Kushbekovich assured that funds for repairs were available, but the department has not submitted a funding request.

The Kant city administration expressed its readiness to take the boiler on its balance sheet, but requires its repair. Tentishev suggested reaching out to the leadership of the Russian airbase, which also uses this boiler, for assistance. He believes that the management of the town should be transferred to the city administration through a cabinet decision.

According to the deputy, the town lacks infrastructure: there is no kindergarten, playgrounds, paved roads, street lighting, or football fields, although the space allows for it. People have lost hope for a resolution to their problems, and Tentishev called for urgent action from the authorities, including representatives of the president and the cabinet in parliament, such as Almasbek Abytov.
