Lawyer Aliya Turumbekova sharply criticized the methods of work of the President's Chief of Staff Kanibek Tumanbaev, stating that even an effective executor can pose a danger to the state if their actions go beyond the law. In her message on social media, she provided specific examples to illustrate her point of view.
“While I agree that Tumanbaev is a good worker, it is necessary to carry out assignments in accordance with the law. Violating the legal rights of citizens and unlawfully seizing property cannot be allowed,” the lawyer noted.
She pointed to the incident involving the demolition of a building at Isanova, 87, as a vivid example of managerial error.
“The property was properly registered, with all necessary registrations observed. At the same time, the demolition began without a court decision. The lawsuit for demolition was filed only after I drew attention to this violation. It resembles a situation where a person is executed first, and then justifications are sought,” the lawyer emphasized.
The situation escalated in court, where, when the owners claimed their property was destroyed, the court ordered an incident report to be drawn up. At the site of the demolished building, there was only a pit dug by contractors.
“When they realized they had made a serious mistake, Tumanbaev's team filed a motion to terminate the case. How can this be explained to the esteemed President? It cannot,” Turumbekova wrote.
In her address, the lawyer emphasized that the actions of officials undermine the authority of the country's leadership.
“I support you, esteemed President! But I am against Tumanbaev,” she noted, adding that the mistakes of such officials force the head of state to bear responsibility for their incompetence.
According to Turumbekova, true reforms must be carried out legally, without destroying lives.
“To achieve the goal, one must not destroy but think. It is important to act consistently and legally so that respect arises instead of fear,” she added.
Background of the conflict: The dispute over the building at Isanova St., 87 (near the Beta Stores shopping center) has been ongoing for several months. The owners of the premises on the first floor have repeatedly reported arbitrariness by state authorities, which are effectively seizing their legal property. For many years, the first floor was in private hands, all transactions were registered, and the owners have all the necessary documents. Moreover, they saved for almost 30 years to make the purchase. Despite having the documents, the building was demolished.
