According to him, the air in Bishkek is not that polluted
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, Meder Mashiev, spoke about the air quality in Bishkek.
“There has been an improvement in air quality over the past two years, although smog is still present. Nevertheless, we do not agree with the opinion that Bishkek should rank among cities with high levels of pollution. Our situation is not that critical,” Mashiev noted.
He also added that one should not rely entirely on the data from the international resource IQAir, but rather focus on the official information provided by Kyrgyzhydromet.
