
In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, the opening of a new sports complex took place at the Republican Sports College named after Sh. Sydykov. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the State National Security Committee, Colonel General Kamchybek Tashiev. During the event, the dormitory, mosque, and educational building of the college were also ceremonially opened after major renovations.
Among the participants of the ceremony were the Deputy Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Buzurman Bagyshbekov, as well as the college administration, teachers, coaches, and students. Tashiev emphasized that sports are a key aspect of the country's future and highlighted the importance of creating modern conditions for the development of youth.
The new complex includes a wrestling hall equipped with modern mats and necessary equipment for Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, as well as spectator stands, a food court, a conference hall, and additional rooms intended for training sessions and meetings. Athletes will also have access to gyms and a cardio zone for physical training.
The college campus covers an area of 7.6 hectares and includes educational buildings, a cafeteria, two sports complexes, an indoor swimming pool, halls for gymnastics and wrestling, two football fields, and two dormitories. The educational institution was founded in 1971 on the basis of a children's home as the Republican Sports Boarding School named after N. Krupskaya and was named after the outstanding sports figure Sheraly Sydykov in 2000.
