The Municipal Territorial Administration No. 106 has informed the residents of Novopavlovka about the current situation regarding the construction of the road on Profsoyuznaya Street. The message states that two main options are being considered: either the construction of the road through the cemetery or a detour around its territory.

This notification also refutes information about payments of 100,000 soms for each burial and the obligation of relatives to cover the costs of reburial. In fact, only a partial relocation of some burials within 10 meters from the high-voltage poles is planned if the road passes through the cemetery.

Municipal representatives urge citizens to help find relatives from the list of burials:

“We find it necessary to provide official clarifications in connection with the spread of false information.

As part of the road construction on Profsoyuznaya Street, alternatives are being considered, including a detour or the construction of the road through the cemetery. Reports that relatives will bear all financial costs for reburial are not true.

It is also incorrect that relatives will receive 100,000 soms for each burial.

If the road passes through the cemetery, it will be located between two high-voltage poles. The relocation of burials is only possible within 10 meters on each side of the poles, taking into account the necessary clearance.

We ask you not to worry — this does not involve relocating the entire cemetery.

To prevent further dissemination of false information, a WhatsApp group will be created for the relatives of those whose burials are in the zone of high-voltage poles and within 10 meters of them, to ensure quick access to reliable information.

Please do not trust unverified data. Official information can be obtained from the Bishkek Funeral Services Agency (BARU) and MTU No. 106.”

Additionally, the MTU requests help in finding relatives from the specified list of the deceased:

Jalpetekova Ranna, 10.08.1940 — 20.09.2024.

Local residents express confusion about why, if the issue has not yet been definitively resolved, a list of burials is being compiled and relatives are being sought.

We remind you that road construction is underway in the village area, which may intersect with the cemetery, with the last burial planned for 2024. The project aims to alleviate traffic to new facilities such as the Osh Market, Western Bus Station, and Manas Airport.
