In the global Corruption Perceptions Index published by Transparency International, Kyrgyzstan ranked 142nd with a score of 26 points. This is an improvement compared to the 146th position in 2024.

However, it is worth noting that in 2023, the republic was in 141st place with the same number of points, and in 2020 its position was 124th (31 points).

Among Central Asian countries, the best results in the fight against corruption were demonstrated by Kazakhstan (39 points) and Uzbekistan (31 points). The worst indicators were recorded in Tajikistan (19 points) and Turkmenistan (17 points).

The highest level of transparency in 2024 was noted in Denmark (89 points), Finland (88), and Singapore (84).

Furthermore, the Transparency International report emphasizes that "the global order has been threatened by rivalry among major powers and the dangerous disregard for international norms" in 2025.

The Corruption Perceptions Index from Transparency International is a composite index that measures the level of corruption in the public sector of various countries. It is based on surveys of experts and entrepreneurs conducted by independent organizations and has been published annually since 1995. Comparisons of CPI results are possible starting from 2012. Countries are rated on a scale from 0 to 100 points, where 0 indicates the highest level of perceived corruption and 100 indicates the lowest.
