The organization Transparency International has presented its annual report on the Corruption Perceptions Index for 2025.

This year, five post-Soviet countries managed to improve their scores: Kyrgyzstan (26 points, +1), Azerbaijan (30, +8), Ukraine (36, +1), Latvia (60, +1), and Lithuania (65, +2). At the same time, the ratings declined for Belarus (31, -2), Uzbekistan (31, -1), Kazakhstan (38, -2), Moldova (43, -1), Armenia (46, -1), and Georgia (50, -3). The results remained unchanged for Turkmenistan (17), Tajikistan (19), and Estonia (76).

The leaders with the lowest levels of corruption continue to be Denmark (89 points out of 100), Finland (88), Singapore (84), and New Zealand (81). Norway, with 81 points, has become a new entrant in the top 5.

Analyzing the overall picture, experts note that corruption continues to grow in various parts of the world, even in those countries that have historically been successful in overcoming it. This phenomenon is linked to a weakening of political will among leaders, as emphasized by representatives of the organization.
