Aikerim Talantbekova, a teacher of the Russian language and literature at the M. Elebaev School in the village of Taldy-Suu in the Tyup District of the Issyk-Kul Region, has not only earned the title of "Excellence in Education" in her nine years in the profession but has also opened the door to the world for her students by winning international competitions.

The path to her profession began for Aikerim with a childhood passion. Born in 1993 in the Chuy Region, she fell in love with literature from a young age. "In school, my Russian language teacher conducted lessons so inspiringly that I literally became obsessed with the subject. Even while herding cattle to the pasture as a child, I memorized Russian poems and verses," she says.

Aikerim's fate was determined in the ninth grade when she met her future husband. The choice was serious: her husband was the younger son, which meant the couple would have to live in the village with his parents. Aikerim made a decision — if she was to live in the village, it would only be in the role of a teacher.

Upon joining her husband's family, the girl found herself in a true dynasty: her father-in-law and mother-in-law dedicated many years to the school (her father-in-law was a long-time principal), and her husband's older brother also worked as a teacher. The family fully supported her pursuit of knowledge.

In 2012, Aikerim enrolled at the Issyk-Kul State University named after K. Tynystanova. Studying required effort: when it came time to defend her thesis, her eldest daughter was only two months old.

"My mom and relatives created all the conditions for me. When my daughter turned six months old, my mom insisted: 'I'll take care of the baby, and you go to work; otherwise, you'll forget your professional skills.' That's how I started my journey in the school," she reported.

Today, Aikerim and her husband, who works in road maintenance, are raising four daughters. Despite household chores, her teaching career is on the rise.

Aikerim has been awarded the title of "Teacher of the Year," has taken prize-winning places in republican competitions, and as part of an international project, she secured second place among 68 teachers from 10 CIS countries and completed an internship in Russia.

Aikerim's students actively participate in competitions (for example, the project "Leningrad Blockade," where the kids recreated the image of the legendary Toktogon Altybasarova).

Thanks to the teacher's initiative, her students receive unique opportunities. Very soon, two high school students will embark on an educational trip to Crimea on the Black Sea. "I really love my job and strive to invest all my energy into my students. My goal is to provide children not just with dry knowledge from textbooks but with quality education and the opportunity to see the world," says Aikerim Talantbekova.
