Another waste processing plant will be built in Bishkek

For the operation of the plant, waste will be sourced from the Chui region.

In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, the construction of a second waste processing plant will begin. This was announced by the mayor, Aibek Junushaliev, during a city council meeting.

He also reminded everyone about the launch of the first eco-technological plant in Central Asia, which took place on December 27, 2025. This plant is capable of processing between 1 to 1.2 tons of solid household waste per day and generating up to 30 megawatt-hours of electricity. To date, this facility has already processed 80,000 tons of waste.

In 2026, the construction of a new similar plant is planned, which will increase the total capacity of the complex to 3,000 tons per day. This will allow for the processing of waste not only from the capital but also from the neighboring Chui region.

Additionally, the expansion of the sorting and processing complex continues, which will have a capacity of 100 tons per day. There are also plans to launch a plant focused on deep waste processing, which will produce goods for municipal needs, such as benches, trash bins, manhole covers, paving slabs, and other products.
